The recap
Mets walked it off in the tenth, 9-7 over Miami at Citi Field on a Friday nighter that nobody wanted to lose. Bats stayed hot on both sides — looked like the bullpens were cooked by the time we got to free baseball, and the heart of the order finally cashed in when it counted.
Marlins had their chances but couldn't put New York away, and the extra frame turned into a coin flip the home crowd called right. Getaway-day energy a day early, and the Mets needed it bad sitting at 24-33.
