Phoenix MercuryvsAtlanta Dream
PHX 82/ATL 96
Things to say
Atlanta Dream beat the Phoenix Mercury 96-82 at home.
01
opener
Dream handled Phoenix at home, 96-82. Never really close in the second half. Atlanta just had more juice.
02
key player
Rhyne Howard was the best player on the floor — 23 and 8 dimes. She was getting buckets whenever she wanted.
03
hot take
Phoenix at 12-20 is cooked. That team's got names but they can't guard anybody.
04
deep cut
Angel Reese quietly grabbed 10 boards. She lives on the glass, cleans up everything in the paint.
05
exit
Atlanta's rolling at 19-11 — curious to see if they keep it up down the stretch.
The recap
Atlanta took care of business at home, running Phoenix off the floor 96-82. Rhyne Howard ran the show with 23 and 8 dimes, and Angel Reese did the dirty work with a 10-board double-digit night to control the paint.
Kelsey Plum tried to keep the Merc afloat with 19 but never got enough help, and once Atlanta pulled ahead they never looked back. Phoenix takes the L and drops to 12-20 while the Dream keep humming at 19-11.
