Washington MysticsvsLas Vegas Aces
WSH 76/LV 86
Things to say
The Las Vegas Aces beat the Washington Mystics 86-76 at home.
01
opener
Aces handled business at home, 86-76. Mystics hung around but never really threatened. Vegas just had too much.
02
key player
A'ja Wilson went for 26 and 13, an absolute clinic. She's the MVP and it's not close.
03
hot take
Washington's guards couldn't buy a bucket. Amoore with 4 dimes and nothing going, that's why they took the L.
04
deep cut
Shakira Austin quietly dropped 20 off the bench-type role, and rookie Kiki Iriafen grabbed 13 boards. Bright spots in a loss.
05
exit
Aces are 23-11 and rolling. That's a lock for playoff seeding, gonna be scary come October.
The recap
Aces handled business at home, taking down Washington 86-76 to push to 23-11. A'ja Wilson was the story as usual, dropping 26 and grabbing 13 boards while doing damage in the paint all night.
Shakira Austin fought for her 20 and Kiki Iriafen crashed the glass for 13, but the Mystics just didn't have enough to hang. Vegas leaned on Wilson, Jackie Young dished 8 dimes to keep the offense humming, and they pulled away for the double-digit W.
