The recap
Washington went into Portland and grabbed a gritty 105-100 road win. Shakira Austin was the story all night, going for 31 and 10 and just bullying folks in the paint.
Carla Leite balled out for the Fire with a 27-point, 11-dime double-double, but she didn't have enough help to match Austin. Portland kept it close but couldn't get the stops down the stretch and took the L at home.
