Washington went into Fenway on a getaway day and absolutely bludgeoned the Red Sox 10-2, and this one was never close. The Nats' bats got into it early and never let Boston breathe, stacking runs through the heart of the order while the Sox couldn't string anything together against a starter who cruised.
Boston scratched out two but the pen was already mopping up a blowout by the middle innings. Washington's now got a winning record at 45-43, and Boston keeps sinking at 37-48.
