Things to say

LA Galaxy beat New England 2-1 at home.

01
opener
Galaxy took it 2-1 at home. New England came in with the better record but couldn't finish. LA just wanted it more late.
02
key player
JT Marcinkowski was the reason LA won. Six saves in goal. He kept them in it every time New England pushed.
03
hot take
New England's the better team on paper and they still lost. That record doesn't mean much if you can't put chances away on the road.
04
deep cut
Peyton Miller had five shots for New England and nothing to show for it. Matt Turner barely got tested on the other end, one save all night.
05
exit
Long season though. New England's still got the cushion in the standings, so I want to see them in a rematch.
The recap

LA Galaxy pulled off the upset at home, knocking off New England 2-1 despite the Revolution coming in with the far better record. The story of this one was in net: LA's JT Marcinkowski stood on his head with six saves, repeatedly turning away a New England side that peppered him all night.

Peyton Miller led the charge for the Revs with five shots but couldn't find the net enough to matter. New England had the better team on paper, but Galaxy dug in and made the one-goal cushion hold up.
