New York City FCvsNew England Revolution
NYC 1/NE 1
Things to say
New England and New York City FC played to a 1-1 draw at Gillette Stadium.
01
opener
Revs and NYCFC finished level, one apiece. End-to-end for stretches but neither side could grab the winner. Point each, and honestly both keepers earned it.
02
key player
Matt Turner was the difference for New England. Four saves and kept them in it when NYC were pushing. Guy's still got it.
03
hot take
A draw flatters NYCFC. New England ran the game and should've buried at least one of those chances.
04
deep cut
Peyton Miller led everyone with four shots for the Revs. Young lad's fearless, just needs the final ball to drop.
05
exit
Anyway, tight one in the East. We'll see if either of them can string a run together down the stretch.
The recap
New England and NYC FC played out a 1-1 draw at Gillette that neither side could break open. Peyton Miller and Talles Magno each fired off four shots trying to be the difference-maker, but both keepers stood tall, with Matt Turner and Matt Freese making four saves apiece.
Max Murray was everywhere for the visitors with nine defensive interventions, snuffing out chance after chance. A point each keeps New England comfortably in the mix, while NYC will feel they left something on the table.
