Baltimore OriolesvsTexas Rangers
BAL 1/TEX 2
Things to say
The Texas Rangers beat the Baltimore Orioles 2-1 at Globe Life Field.
01
opener
Two-one, Rangers. Classic pitcher's duel, over in a hurry. Whole thing was decided on like three swings.
02
key player
Texas starter was the story. Got into his stuff early, went deep, kept the heart of Baltimore's order off balance all night.
03
hot take
Orioles at 56-60 and it shows. That lineup should never get shut down to one run, that's on the bats.
04
deep cut
Watch the sixth. Baltimore's skipper went to the pen too early and it flipped the whole game.
05
exit
Anyway, both these teams are sitting right at .500 — should be a fun rest of the series.
The recap
Texas grinded out a 2-1 nail-biter over Baltimore at Globe Life, the kind of low-scoring scrap where every run felt like pulling teeth. Pitching carried this one from both dugouts, with the Rangers' staff clamping down on the heart of the O's order all night.
Baltimore's lone run just wasn't enough to keep pace, and Texas nursed that one-run cushion into the final out. Nice getaway-day win to pull the Rangers back to .500 at 58-58.
