Baltimore OriolesvsTexas Rangers
BAL 1/TEX 5
Things to say
The Rangers beat the Orioles 5-1 at Globe Life Field.
01
opener
Rangers took care of business at home, 5-1 over Baltimore. Never really felt close after the middle innings. Texas just kept adding on.
02
key player
Whoever they ran out on the mound got into his stuff early — kept the O's off the board and let the offense breathe. One run over the whole night, that's a starter earning his keep.
03
hot take
I don't care about the record, this Texas club is a problem at home. Baltimore's bats just go quiet the second they cross the airport.
04
deep cut
Orioles only scratched across one run — when the heart of the order goes cold like that, it doesn't matter who's pitching. Their OBP has been ugly on the road.
05
exit
Anyway, getaway day tomorrow, let's see if Baltimore can salvage one before they get out of town.
The recap
Texas took care of business at home, handling Baltimore 5-1 in a tidy one to close things out. The Rangers got the kind of steady starting pitching that keeps a lineup honest — held the Orioles to a single run and never really let them into the game.
Baltimore's bats went quiet, and once Texas built the lead the bullpen slammed the door. Nothing flashy, just a clean, complete win that nudges the Rangers back over .500 in the chase.
