The Orioles went into Comerica and put up an eight-spot, riding the bats to an 8-5 win over the Tigers. Baltimore's offense worked the count all afternoon and made Detroit pay every time a rally got going, and once the Tigers' pen came in the lead ballooned out of reach.
Detroit scratched across five and never quite got over the hump. Getaway-day baseball, and the O's took it going away.
