PHI 3/RBNY 1

Apple TVRed Bull Arena
Things to say

Philadelphia Union beat Red Bull New York 3-1 on the road at Red Bull Arena.

01
opener
Philly went into Red Bull Arena and won 3-1. Union looked sharp all night. Red Bull got one back but it was never really close.
02
key player
Milan Iloski was all over it up top, put up seven shots on the night. Guy would not stop attacking.
03
hot take
Red Bull's back line is a problem. Giving up three at home is not a road-trip loss, that's a real issue.
04
deep cut
Julián Bazán had twelve defensive interventions for New York and it still didn't matter. One guy can't cover for the whole group.
05
exit
Both of these teams are middle of the table, so the playoff race down the stretch is gonna be a grind. Should be fun to watch.
The recap

Philadelphia went into Red Bull Arena and walked out with a 3-1 win, flipping what looked like a close matchup into a comfortable road result. Milan Iloski was the engine up top, peppering the net with seven shots and forcing New York to chase the game all night.

The Union's finishing did the damage while Andre Blake made the saves that mattered on the other end. Red Bull had their moments and plenty of the ball, but they never really threatened to claw it back once Philly got rolling.
