Athletics absolutely buried the Pirates 11-2 at Sutter Health Park, and it wasn't even that close once the bats woke up. Pittsburgh's starter clearly didn't have his stuff, and the manager probably should've gone to the pen earlier because the heart of the order kept teeing off.
Nine-run cushion on a Monday night basically means the bullpen got a free day, which is huge heading into the rest of the week. Athletics climb back to .500 at 36-36, while the Pirates drop to 36-37 and suddenly look like the team chasing.
