The Dodgers walked it off in the tenth to edge the Pirates 5-4 at Dodger Stadium, and Pittsburgh has to be sick about this one. Scrappy Pittsburgh hung around all night and had the game knotted at four heading to free baseball, playing well above their record against the class of the National League.
But once it got to extras with the ghost runner on second, LA's lineup did just enough to push across the winner and send everybody home. Getaway-day heartbreak for the Pirates, who fought the heart of the Dodgers order to a standstill and still walked away with nothing.
