The recap
Texas went into Rogers Centre and grabbed a 7-4 win, jumping on Toronto early and never really letting the Jays climb back in it. The bats did the heavy lifting up and down the order, and every time Toronto trimmed the lead, the Rangers had an answer.
The Jays kept clawing to get it to a three-run game but couldn't string together the rally to make the bullpen sweat late. Texas pulls back to within a game of .500 at 41-42 while Toronto drops to 39-44 and another night where the offense just couldn't keep pace.
