Texas RangersvsChicago White Sox
TEX 4/CHW 10
Things to say
The White Sox beat the Rangers 10-4 at Rate Field on Wednesday.
01
opener
White Sox took it 10-4, and it wasn't as close as that. They jumped on Texas early and never really looked back. Rate Field was rocking for once.
02
key player
The heart of that Sox order just wore Texas out — double-digit runs on a getaway day, are you kidding me? Somebody in that lineup left the yard and it flipped the whole thing.
03
hot take
Honestly the Rangers' bullpen lost this before the sixth. Texas manager went to the pen too early and they just bled runs from there.
04
deep cut
And Chicago's under .500 for the year, so putting up ten on a Texas club still chasing a wild card? That's the quiet story nobody's talking about.
05
exit
Anyway, they run it back tomorrow — I want to see if Texas can steal the series before they leave town.
The recap
The White Sox jumped all over Texas at Rate Field and cruised to a 10-4 laugher that never felt close. Ten runs is a get-right day for a lineup that torched the Rangers staff up and down the order.
Texas couldn't get anything going and drops another one to fall back under .500 at 66-68. Chicago keeps rolling and inches toward respectability at 70-63.
