The recap
Boston hung a 10-spot on the best team in the division and didn't let anybody cross the plate, which nobody saw coming from a club sitting under .500. The Red Sox starter clearly got into his stuff early, and once the lineup started stacking crooked numbers the Rays never had an answer.
Tampa Bay's had a heck of a year at 56-39, but on a getaway day at Fenway they ran into a buzzsaw and got shut out cold. Ten to nothing is the kind of laugher where you can just say the bats woke up and leave it there.
