Yeah, the Pirates jumped on them early and never looked back. Bats were alive at PNC, nine runs is a lot for that lineup. Reds just couldn't keep up.

Bucs' heart of the order did the damage. Couple guys left the yard and that was the ballgame, you could feel it by the middle innings.

Honestly the Reds skipper went to the pen way too early. Pull your starter when he's cruising and the bullpen just hands it right back.

Nobody's talking about it but Cincinnati's WHIP out of the pen was ugly all afternoon. Free passes plus a couple knocks and it snowballs.

Anyway, both these clubs are dead even around .500, so the next one in this series actually matters. Should be a fun one.

Cincinnati hung four on the board but never strung enough together to make it a real ballgame. Tidy little statement win to even Pittsburgh up at .500.
