Colorado RockiesvsAtlanta Braves
COL 1/ATL 2
Things to say
The Braves edged the Rockies 2-1 at home at Truist Park.
01
opener
Braves grabbed it 2-1, real low-scoring one. Classic pitcher's duel, nobody left the yard early. Colorado just couldn't push runs across.
02
key player
Atlanta's starter got into his stuff and gave 'em length — one run on that arm, that's your ballgame. Kept the WHIP down all night.
03
hot take
One-run game at home against a 52-84 club? Braves should've buried that lineup way earlier.
04
deep cut
Rockies are what, 52-84 now, and they still hung a full nine on the road. That's a scrappy out for a team going nowhere.
05
exit
Anyway, Atlanta's 81-55 and rolling — I'll be watching what they do with the next one.
The recap
Braves grinded out a 2-1 nail-biter over the Rockies at Truist, the kind of low-scoring scrap where every baserunner felt like an event. Atlanta's arms did the heavy lifting, keeping Colorado's bats quiet all night and handing the pen a one-run lead to protect.
The Rockies just couldn't push the tying run across when it mattered, and one run was the whole ballgame. Solid getaway-day win that keeps the 81-55 Braves rolling.
