Kansas City RoyalsvsToronto Blue Jays
KC 0/TOR 3
Things to say
Toronto blanked Kansas City 3-0 at Rogers Centre.
01
opener
Jays took it 3-0. Pretty quiet game honestly, Toronto just did enough. Royals never really threatened.
02
key player
Whoever the Jays threw was dealing. A shutout at home, kept the Royals' bats off balance all night.
03
hot take
Three runs shouldn't be enough to win, but when your pitching tosses a shutout it plays every time.
04
deep cut
Kansas City getting blanked at 59-75 kinda tells the whole story of their season right there.
05
exit
Anyway, Toronto's climbing back toward .500. Curious if they keep it rolling in the next one.
The recap
Toronto took care of business at Rogers Centre, blanking Kansas City 3-0 in a tidy afternoon of baseball. The Jays' pitching was the whole story here, stringing together zeros and never letting the Royals' bats get into their stuff.
Three runs was plenty of cushion on a day when the arms were locked in and the bullpen slammed the door. Kansas City just couldn't scratch anything across, and a clean shutout sends Toronto home happy.
