Kansas City RoyalsvsToronto Blue Jays
KC 13/TOR 2
Things to say
The Kansas City Royals crushed the Toronto Blue Jays 13-2 at Rogers Centre.
01
opener
Royals absolutely put a whooping on Toronto, 13-2. It was 5-0 before you finished your first beer. Never a game after the third.
02
key player
The whole KC lineup left the yard on somebody — thirteen runs, the heart of the order was locked in all night.
03
hot take
Both these teams are way under .500 and it showed. Toronto's fading fast, honestly.
04
deep cut
Getaway day at the Rogers Centre and the Jays' pen just had nothing. Manager left the starter out to dry way too long.
05
exit
Anyway, KC's got some life late — curious if they carry it into the next series.
The recap
Getaway day at Rogers Centre turned into a Royals demolition, Kansas City hanging 13 on Toronto to steal the series finale 13-2. This one got out of hand early and never got close again, the KC bats working over the Blue Jays staff up and down the order.
Toronto's two runs were an afterthought in a game that was over by the middle innings. When you drop a laugher like this at home, it's the kind you flush and forget by first pitch tomorrow.
