Kansas City RoyalsvsLos Angeles Dodgers
KC 2/LAD 4
Things to say
The Dodgers beat the Royals 4-2 at Dodger Stadium.
01
opener
Dodgers took care of business, 4-2 over the Royals. Tight game most of the night, LA just had a little more in the tank late. Classic getaway-day vibe at Dodger Stadium.
02
key player
Whoever LA ran out there kept the Royals lineup off balance all night — starter went deep, kept the heart of the order quiet, low WHIP kind of outing.
03
hot take
Honestly the Royals are hanging around better than that 49-73 record says. They just can't buy a big hit when it matters.
04
deep cut
Two runs is nothing at Dodger Stadium — the ballpark plays big, and KC left the yard empty when they had guys on. That's the game right there.
05
exit
Anyway, Dodgers keep rolling toward October. Curious to see if they let the bullpen breathe next series.
The recap
Dodgers took care of business at home, edging the Royals 4-2 to keep the good times rolling in LA. Kansas City hung around all night, but they just couldn't string enough together against the heart of that Dodger lineup.
LA's bullpen slammed the door late to lock down the two-run cushion. Another day at the office for a club now sitting pretty at 73-48.
