Orioles took it 5-3 at Camden. Never really felt close after the middle innings. KC hung around but couldn't string anything together against the heart of the order.

Baltimore's bats carried it, honestly. Couple of loud at-bats in the middle of the lineup, one left the yard, and that was the ballgame.

Royals are wasting decent pitching with that offense. You can't score three and expect to win on the road all summer.

Baltimore took care of business at Camden Yards, holding off Kansas City 5-3 to snap out of the doldrums on a getaway day. The Orioles bats did just enough against a Royals staff that couldn't keep the ball in the yard, while the bullpen slammed the door late instead of letting this one get away.
Kansas City hung around all afternoon but never got the big hit with the heart of the order coming up. Two clubs going nowhere fast in the standings, but the O's will take it.
