The recap

Eastern Michigan grabbed this one by the collar early, with Noah Kim doing everything—he ran one in himself, then threw a pair of touchdowns to build a 21-3 cushion before Sac State knew what hit them. The Hornets kept it from being a blowout by scooping a Xavier Williams fumble and taking it 29 yards to the house right before the break.

But Kim answered on the first drive of the second half with a 31-yard strike to Devereaux, and that was the ballgame. Carson Conklin moved it in stretches for Sac State but threw a pick and never really threatened once EMU got rolling, 28-17 the final.
