ScotlandvsHaiti
SCO 1/HAI 0
Scotland edged Haiti 1-0 at Gillette Stadium to open their World Cup group.
Scotland nicked a 1-nil win over Haiti at Gillette and honestly it was a proper backs-to-the-wall job from the Haitians, who threw bodies in front of everything. Hannes Delcroix was everywhere at the back with 14 defensive interventions and 66 accurate passes — the man basically played the match by himself.
Scotland never really got out of second gear, McTominay had a couple of looks but Johny Placide stood up when called, and the lone goal was enough on a night neither side covered themselves in glory going forward. Three points is three points though, and the Tartan Army will take a clean sheet and a win to open the group every day of the week.
