The recap
Iowa State opened its season by handling FCS visitor SEMO 38-10, and it was never really close after the first quarter. Jaylen Raynor ran the whole show, accounting for four touchdowns himself, two through the air and two on the ground including a pair of 7-yard keepers to bookend the scoring.
The Cyclones built a 28-7 cushion and let the defense finish the job, with Isaac Terrell living in the backfield for three sacks. SEMO couldn't move the ball when it mattered and never got closer than three scores.
