Yeah, they actually tied. Nine to nine, nobody could move the ball all day. It was field goals and punts, basically four quarters of smashmouth defense with zero payoff.

Milroe was the only guy who looked like he belonged out there. 223 yards and the only touchdown in the whole game, that little four-yarder to Vannett. Carried Seattle.

Butker keeps that job by kicking three field goals? Come on. If Nussmeier hits one throw in the red zone instead of tossing a pick, KC wins going away.

The recap
This one was a kicking contest that nobody wanted to win, ending 9-9 with both teams walking off tied. Neither offense could move the ball with any conviction, so it came down to Jason Myers and Harrison Butker trading field goals all afternoon.
The only touchdown was Jalen Milroe hitting Nick Vannett for a short strike to put Seattle up 9-6, but the failed PAT left the door cracked and Butker walked through it with a 19-yarder to knot it back up. Garrett Nussmeier and the Chiefs offense never found the end zone at Arrowhead, and both squads limp to 0-2-1 wondering how to actually finish a drive.
