Chicago SkyvsNew York Liberty
CHI 66/NY 85
Things to say
New York Liberty beat the Chicago Sky 85-66 at Barclays Center.
01
opener
Liberty handled business at home, 85-66. Sky just couldn't buy a bucket, honestly. New York controlled it wire to wire.
02
key player
Han Xu dropped 19 off the bench and looked comfortable in the paint all night. Stewart chipped in with 9 boards. That's a problem for anybody.
03
hot take
Ionescu with only 4 dimes and NY still cruises? Tells you how deep this roster runs right now.
04
deep cut
Vandersloot led the Sky in both assists and rebounds. When your point guard is your best rebounder, that's a rough night for the frontcourt.
05
exit
Sky are sliding at 15-25, Libs sitting pretty at 24-16. Anyway, curious who they draw next.
The recap
Liberty took care of business at home, running the Sky off the floor 85-66 in a game that was never really close. Han Xu came off the bench and dropped 19 to lead all scorers, doing damage in the paint while Stewart cleaned the glass with nine boards.
Chicago just couldn't buy a bucket, and Natasha Cloud's 14 was about all they could muster on a night where nobody else showed up. Nineteen-point beatdown, and New York keeps climbing while the Sky take another L.
