Los Angeles SparksvsConnecticut Sun
LA 77/CON 85
Things to say
The Connecticut Sun beat the Los Angeles Sparks 85-77.
01
opener
Sun took care of business at home, 85-77. Sparks hung around but never really got over the hump. Connecticut controlled it down the stretch.
02
key player
Olivia Nelson-Ododa was an absolute problem in the paint. 18 and 11, ate them up on the glass all night.
03
hot take
LA's got the better record but they play down to bad teams. That's a game they should never lose.
04
deep cut
Rookie Leila Lacan dropped a clean 10 dimes. Kid runs the offense like she's been in the league ten years.
05
exit
Anyway, both these teams are cooked for the playoffs. I just wanna see who's tanking harder down the stretch.
The recap
The Sun snapped out of their funk and took care of business at home, knocking off the Sparks 85-77. Olivia Nelson-Ododa was the engine all night, going for 18 and 11 with a double-double while cleaning the glass in the paint.
Leila Lacan ran the show with 10 dimes to keep everybody fed. Rae Burrell had it going for LA with 19, but she didn't get enough help and the Sparks took the L on the road.
