Tottenham HotspurvsBrentford
TOT 0/BRE 3
Things to say
Brentford beat Tottenham 3-0 at the Gtech to open the season.
01
opener
Brentford absolutely paddled Spurs, three-nil at home. Tottenham never showed up. That's a rough way to start the season.
02
key player
Kevin Schade was everywhere, led the match with five shots and looked a menace all afternoon. Brentford's front line torched that back four.
03
hot take
Don't blame Kinsky, the keeper made five saves. The defense in front of him was shambolic.
04
deep cut
Senesi actually topped everyone with 16 defensive interventions and 70 passes. When your center back is your busiest man, you're in trouble.
05
exit
Long season though, one game. Curious if Spurs bounce back next weekend.
The recap
Brentford absolutely paddled Spurs 3-nil at the Gtech, and it wasn't even that close. Kevin Schade was a menace all afternoon, leading the line with five shots and dragging the home side forward every time they broke.
Kelleher barely broke a sweat for his clean sheet while Kinsky was left picking the ball out of his net three times despite five saves the other end. Shambolic opening day for Tottenham, who couldn't string a chance together and got run ragged from the first whistle.
