Seattle StormvsChicago Sky
SEA 90/CHI 95
Things to say
The Chicago Sky beat the Seattle Storm 95-90 at Wintrust Arena.
01
opener
Sky finally got one, 95-90 over Seattle. Close all the way, but Chicago held on down the stretch. Storm just couldn't get the stop they needed.
02
key player
Azura Stevens quietly ran the show for Chicago. 20 and 8, and she was a problem in the paint all night.
03
hot take
Flau'jae dropped 25 in a loss and it barely mattered. When you're 6-20, buckets don't fix the leaks.
04
deep cut
Dominique Malonga grabbed 12 boards. Rookie's already eating on the glass for Seattle.
05
exit
Both these teams are way out of it, so I'm just watching for the young ones now. On to the next one.
The recap
Chicago handled business at home, holding off Seattle 95-90 to snap some of that losing skid. Azura Stevens carried the load with 20 and 8, doing her work in the paint and setting the tone all game.
Flau'jae Johnson went off for a game-high 25 and kept the Storm within striking distance, but Seattle just didn't have enough around her to close the gap. The Sky made the plays down the stretch and took care of the ball when it mattered.
