Minnesota TwinsvsMilwaukee Brewers
MIN 3/MIL 4
Things to say
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Minnesota Twins 4-3 at American Family Field.
01
opener
Brewers took it 4-3 at home. Tight one all night, came down to the last couple innings. Milwaukee just keeps finding ways to win these.
02
key player
I don't want to overhype one guy, but Milwaukee's heart of the order did the damage in a one-run game. That lineup is deep top to bottom right now.
03
hot take
Twins are done. You're 58-60 in August, you're not the story anymore. This was Milwaukee's game to lose and they didn't.
04
deep cut
Brewers are 73-44. That's not a hot streak, that's just who they are now. Best record you're gonna see and nobody's talking about them.
05
exit
Anyway, the real test is who they draw in October. Let's see if it holds up.
The recap
Brewers grinded out a 4-3 win over the Twins at American Family Field, the kind of one-run nail-biter that keeps a first-place club rolling. Milwaukee's at 73-44 now, and they found a way even without any one bat leaving the yard to steal the show.
The Twins hung tough and kept it a one-run game to the end, but sitting at 58-60 they just couldn't get the big hit when it mattered. Getaway day in Milwaukee, and the home team sends the Twins packing.
