Oklahoma pitched a shutout and never let UTEP breathe, rolling 51-0 in a game that was over before halftime. John Mateer carved them up through the air, throwing three touchdowns on just 17 attempts, but the real backbreaker was Isaiah Sategna III taking a punt 88 yards to the house to blow it open early.
UTEP couldn't move the ball an inch, managing next to nothing while Tate Sandell kept the scoreboard ticking. Once it was a rout, Oklahoma emptied the bench and still tacked on more, closing it out with a Whitt Newbauer plunge in garbage time.
