Vancouver WhitecapsvsSporting Kansas City
VAN 3/SKC 0
Things to say
Vancouver won 3-0 at Sporting Kansas City for a road clean sheet.
01
opener
Vancouver went into Kansas City and took it 3-0. Never really in doubt. Sporting couldn't buy a goal.
02
key player
Brian White was all over it up top, four shots and a constant problem. He drags that Whitecaps attack.
03
hot take
Kansas City at 4-3-15 is done. That's not a slump, that's just a bad team now.
04
deep cut
Tristan Blackmon quietly ran the whole thing from the back, 71 passes and a dozen defensive stops. Clean sheet earned.
05
exit
Vancouver's rolling at 13-4-4, so I want to see who they draw next.
The recap
Vancouver rolled into Kansas City and left with a 3-0 win that was never really in doubt. Sporting mustered almost nothing going forward, and Brian White led the away side's attack with four shots as the Whitecaps kept pouring it on.
Vancouver's back line barely broke a sweat for the clean sheet, with Tristan Blackmon pulling the strings and cleaning up everything in front of goal. Different weight classes here: Vancouver sits near the top at 13-4-4, while Kansas City's brutal season rolls on.
