Minnesota VikingsvsDenver Broncos
MIN 6/DEN 34
Things to say
Denver beat Minnesota 34-6 at Empower Field at Mile High.
01
opener
Broncos rolled, 34-6. It was over by halftime. Vikings just couldn't move the ball all night.
02
key player
Sam Ehlinger was surgical — 15 of 20, 233 and 3 touchdowns. Efficient as it gets.
03
hot take
Minnesota's six points is all you need to know. Six. That offense looked lost.
04
deep cut
The dagger was that 88-yard bomb to Justin Joly. Tight end just ran right by everybody.
05
exit
Denver's rolling now at 2-1. Curious what they do next week.
The recap
Denver put on a smashmouth clinic and buried Minnesota 34-6, and it was never really a contest. Sam Ehlinger carved them up for three touchdown passes, the backbreaker an 88-yard bomb to Justin Joly that turned a comfortable lead into a rout.
The Vikings couldn't move the ball when it mattered — six points, not a single trip that ended in the end zone, just Will Reichard trotting out for field goals. Denver's defense bailed out nothing here because the offense never needed it; this one was over by halftime.
