Chicago White SoxvsBoston Red Sox
CHW 0/BOS 4
Things to say
The Red Sox blanked the White Sox 4-0 at Fenway.
01
opener
Sox took it 4-0 at Fenway. Never really in doubt. Pitching carried the whole night.
02
key player
Boston's staff was filthy — a clean shutout, White Sox never got anything going against that stuff.
03
hot take
Chicago's bats are just cooked right now. Getting shut out on a getaway day tells you everything.
04
deep cut
White Sox went hitless with runners in scoring position — heart of the order did nothing all night.
05
exit
Anyway, Boston's rolling. Curious to see if they keep it up on the road.
The recap
Boston took care of business at Fenway, blanking Chicago 4-0 in a tidy little shutout. The Sox pitching staff was the whole story here, keeping the White Sox off the board all night and never letting the heart of that order get comfortable.
Four runs was plenty when the arms are dealing like that. Clean win, no drama, and Boston keeps rolling above .500 at 62-51.
