Fenway got the result it wanted as the Red Sox handled the Yankees 4-1 in a tidy one. Boston's starter clearly got into his stuff early, keeping the heart of New York's order off balance and limiting them to a single run all afternoon.
With the offense scratching across four, the bullpen slammed the door and never let the Bombers sniff a rally. Nice little upset feel here, with the last-place Sox knocking off a division leader.
