St. Louis CardinalsvsArizona Diamondbacks

The St. Louis Cardinals roll into Chase Field Sunday afternoon sitting at 51-46, a game and a half up on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the standings, so there's some genuine bite to this one beyond just a getaway day matinee.
Arizona is the slight favorite at minus-120, which tells you Vegas thinks the D-backs' home cooking and whatever southpaw or power arm they run out there evens things up against a Cardinals club that's been grinding out wins without blowing anyone away. The over-under is set at nine, which is pretty juicy for a dome game in July — if either bullpen gets loose early and the heart of the order starts teeing off, this thing could go sideways fast.
Bold prediction: the Cardinals scratch out a late run after the D-backs manager goes to the pen too early, and STL walks out of Phoenix with a one-run win to pad that division cushion.
