Morehead State EaglesvsKentucky Wildcats
MORE 42/UK 85
Things to say
Kentucky beat Morehead State 85-42 at home to open the season 1-0.
01
opener
Kentucky just handed Morehead State a 43-point beatdown in the opener. It was never close. The Wildcats ate them up from the jump.
02
key player
Clara Strack led the way with 17, but it was a true team effort. Savvy Swords crashed the glass for 11 boards too.
03
hot take
Honestly, a 43-point win in game one tells you nothing. Beat somebody with a pulse and then we'll talk.
04
deep cut
Ajsa Sivka quietly dropped 8 dimes. When one team gets 8 assists from one guard and the other team's leader has 1, that's the whole story.
05
exit
Early November tune-up, nothing more. The real test comes once SEC play tips off.
The recap
Kentucky opened the season by absolutely burying Morehead State 85-42, and it was never close. Clara Strack led the way with 17 and Savvy Swords cleaned the glass with 11 boards while Ajsa Sivka ran the show, dishing 8 dimes.
The Wildcats defense ate them up all night, holding the Eagles to 42 in a flat-out clinic. Kensley Feltner's 16 was the only thing keeping Morehead on the board.
