MLB The marquee matchup is the Los Angeles Dodgers heading into Citizens Bank Park to face the Philadelphia Phillies, a heavyweight clash between two of the National League's best lineups with real seeding implications down the stretch. Also keep an eye on the Tampa Bay Rays going for a getaway day win in Toronto against the Blue Jays, and the Milwaukee Brewers trying to keep rolling at home against a Mets club whose bullpen has been shaky lately. If the Yankees' starter goes seven against the Pirates in the Bronx, don't be surprised if it turns into a laugher given the gap in the heart of each order.
MLS The marquee tilt is Chicago Fire at Inter Miami, where Miami's high-flying attack gets tested by a Fire side unbeaten in five straight and desperate to keep pace atop the East. Keep half an eye on Vancouver at FC Cincinnati too, since the Whitecaps arrive with an eye-watering 10-2-2 record and could put a serious dent in Cincinnati's home form. If Miami's back line goes shambolic under pressure and Chicago finds the net early, this could turn into exactly the statement road result the Fire need.
WNBA The marquee tilt tonight is Las Vegas Aces at Washington Mystics, with the surging Aces looking to keep pace atop the standings against a scrappy Mystics squad fighting to hold their playoff spot. Also keep an eye on Minnesota Lynx at Seattle Storm, where the league-best Lynx are set to run through a rebuilding Storm team by double digits. Indiana Fever hosting Connecticut Sun is worth a glance too if Indiana's young core comes out splashing from deep and putting on a clinic in the paint early.
