BrentfordvsLeeds United
BRE 1/LEE 1
Things to say
Brentford and Leeds United played to a 1-1 draw at Elland Road.
01
opener
Leeds and Brentford split the points, 1-1. Both sides had chances but nobody could grab the winner. Felt like a game where a draw was fair.
02
key player
Igor Thiago was Brentford's best guy up top, put up 5 shots. If one of those drops right, they steal it on the road.
03
hot take
Leeds are lucky to come away with a point at home. You take 15 shots at Elland Road and only find the net once, that's a problem.
04
deep cut
Watch Tarik Muharemovic for Leeds. 42 accurate passes and 20 defensive interventions. Kid was everywhere, basically ran the whole middle of the field.
05
exit
Both teams sitting at 1-1-0 now. Long season, but they need to start turning these draws into wins. Anyway, we'll see who bounces back next weekend.
The recap
Brentford and Leeds split the points in a 1-1 draw at Elland Road, the kind of game where nobody left happy but nobody left mad either. Both sides traded a goal and then dug in, with Igor Thiago firing off five shots for Brentford and Daniel James pushing hardest for Leeds.
James Trafford earned his keep in the Leeds net with four saves to keep this one level. A fair split that leaves both clubs sitting at a game apiece on the young season.
