Milwaukee BrewersvsLos Angeles Dodgers
MIL 5/LAD 4
Things to say
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4 at Dodger Stadium.
01
opener
Brewers grabbed it 5-4 out at Chavez Ravine. One-run game the whole way, came down to the last out. Milwaukee just keeps finding ways to win these.
02
key player
The heart of the Brewers order carried them again — no long ball needed, they just keep grinding out at-bats and putting the ball in play. That's been the whole season.
03
hot take
I'll say it: the Dodgers look beatable right now. Best roster money can buy and they just dropped a one-run game at home to a small-market club.
04
deep cut
Here's the thing nobody mentions — Milwaukee's sitting at 75-47, that's the best record in baseball, ahead of the Dodgers. Quietest juggernaut around.
05
exit
Anyway, we'll see if LA bounces back next one. But this Brewers team? They're for real.
The recap
Milwaukee walked into Dodger Stadium and stole a getaway-day nailbiter, edging LA 5-4 to keep pace atop the standings. It was a back-and-forth grind all night, with the Brewers scratching across just enough to hold off a Dodger lineup that kept threatening but couldn't cash in the big spot.
Both bullpens got tested late, and Milwaukee's arms squeezed out the final outs with the tying run lurking. The Brewers are rolling at 75-47 now, and they did it in the toughest building in the National League.
