MLB The marquee slate on Netflix is the Field of Dreams game, Phillies at Twins, with Philadelphia trying to keep its wild card push alive against a scuffling Minnesota club. But the real heavyweight fight is Brewers at Dodgers, both first-place clubs with over 70 wins, and if either bullpen gets into its stuff late this could easily come down to a walk-off. Also keep an eye on Padres at Guardians, where a hot San Diego offense against the heart of Cleveland's order should test any starter who doesn't have his good stuff early.

NFL The marquee tilt is Green Bay at Pittsburgh, with the Packers favored by three and the total sitting at thirty-eight and a half, so keep an eye on whether the backups can move the ball against a Steelers defense that loves to sell out against the run near the line of scrimmage. It's still preseason, so don't expect much time of possession or red zone execution from the starters, but Detroit at Cincinnati is worth a glance too since the Bengals are laying six and a half at home and a lopsided score would just be garbage-time stats piling up in the fourth quarter. If you need a side to needle a friend about, Tennessee is getting six points at San Francisco, and covering that spread on the road would be a nice small talking point even in a game nobody will remember by September.

WNBA Circle the Washington Mystics at Las Vegas Aces as the marquee tilt, with a playoff-position pecking order on the line for two teams stacking buckets in the paint all season. The Los Angeles Sparks visiting the New York Liberty is a get-right spot for New York, who should ice this one if their guards keep splashing threes. But the real appointment viewing is Dallas Wings at Indiana Fever, where fans are hoping the home crowd sees an and-one or a dagger three off ice-in-her-veins shot-making from the Fever's backcourt.
