This one was a good old-fashioned pitching duel, and Seattle scratched out the only run it needed to steal one in the Bronx, 1-0. Nobody left the yard all afternoon; the Mariners' starter got into his stuff early and just kept dealing, and the bullpen slammed the door to make that lone run stand up.
The Yankees' bats went ice cold with runners on and couldn't push a single guy across, which is how you get shut out at home on a getaway day. Ugly for the heart of the order in pinstripes, but a clean, gutsy road win for Seattle.
