The recap
Angels blanked the Rangers 7-0 and it wasn't close from the jump. Somebody on the LA staff clearly got into his stuff, painting corners and stranding whatever traffic Texas managed to scrape together for a full-on shutout.
The heart of the Rangers order went quiet all night, and once the Angels put a crooked number on the board the bullpen just slammed the door. Getaway-day baseball at its most lopsided, and the last-place club walked away feeling like the better team.
