The Cardinals went into Wrigley on a getaway day and torched the Cubs 11-4, and it wasn't as close as even that gap makes it sound. St.
Louis got into the Cubs' pitching early and never let up, stacking crooked numbers while the heart of the order kept the line moving. Chicago's manager may have gone to the pen too early, but honestly nothing was slowing this offense down once it got rolling.
Nice bounce-back for a Cardinals club scrapping to stay in the race.
