Royals absolutely teed off on the Cardinals last night at Kauffman, 14-6, and it wasn't as close as the score makes it sound. St.
Louis's starter never got into his stuff and the manager went to the pen way too early, which is when KC's heart of the order really left the yard. Cardinals still sit pretty at 40-33, but this was an ugly getaway-day type loss where the bullpen just kept feeding meatballs.
Royals needed this one bad sitting at 31-45, and they took it out on every pitch they saw.
