Wild one up at Target Field — Twins edged the Cardinals 9-8 in a back-and-forth slugfest that had no business being that close given how often both bullpens got into trouble. St.
Louis came in with the better record and looked the part early, but Minnesota kept clawing back every time the Cards pushed a run across. Somebody in that Twins lineup left the yard at the right moment, because an 8-run road night from a club sitting seven games over .500 usually walks home with the W.
