Charlotte FC went into Red Bull Arena and grabbed a clean 2-0 win on the road. New York actually did most of the pressing here, with Jorge Ruvalcaba firing off five shots, but they couldn't beat Kristijan Kahlina, who made six saves and shut the door completely.
Charlotte took their chances and rode Kahlina's clean sheet to all three points. Efficient stuff from the visitors, frustrating night for the hosts who dominated possession and had nothing to show for it.
