Cubs went into Citi Field and put a 10-spot on the board, rolling the Mets 10-5 in a game that wasn't as close as even that sounds. Chicago's bats kept the line moving all night while New York's pitching just couldn't find an out when it mattered, and once the Cubs got into the heart of the order it was lights out.
The Mets keep sinking under .500 at 34-46, and this is the kind of night where you wonder if the manager left his guy out there a few hitters too long. Cubs are sitting pretty at 43-37 and look like the team that actually showed up to play.
