FC DallasvsReal Salt Lake
DAL 4/RSL 3
Things to say
FC Dallas won 4-3 on the road at Real Salt Lake.
01
opener
Seven goals at America First Field, are you kidding me. Dallas nicked it 4-3 on the road. Absolute end-to-end stuff, nobody wanted to defend.
02
key player
Petar Musa was a handful all night, led the line with four shots. RSL just had no answer for him.
03
hot take
Score four at home and still lose? That RSL back line was shambolic. Rafael only made one save because everything past him found the net.
04
deep cut
Look at Nolan Norris with 18 defensive interventions for Dallas. That's the guy who actually won them the game while everyone else traded goals.
05
exit
Anyway, both these sides are still scrapping for a playoff spot, so the next one should be spicy too.
The recap
Seven goals, no clean sheets in sight, and Dallas walked out of Salt Lake with a 4-3 win in a proper end-to-end shootout. Petar Musa was the handful up top, matching Diego Luna for shots and leading the charge as Dallas kept finding the net every time RSL clawed back level.
Real Salt Lake threw everything at it on their own patch but just couldn't keep the door shut, and keeper Jonathan Sirois made four saves to help Dallas nick it. On a night when nobody wanted to defend, the visitors simply scored one more.
